Ventajas del IXP

1)      Con la llegada de un solo enlace (CABLE) al IX me permite
interconectarme con todos

2)      VELOCIDAD (menos latencia) evita que el contenido tenga que viajar
grandes distancias.  Se intercambia en ese punto local. Ídem con los CACHES.

3)      Un lugar común, ahorra costos y lo hace más eficiente.  Genera
beneficios mutuos, podes intercambiar trafico sin límites, haciendo más
accesible a nivel costos

 

Un IX es como un gran SHOPPING MALL de Proveedores de servicios de Internet.
(Proveedores de Internet, Proveedores de Contenidos, Carriers, Gobiernos,
Universidades, Etc)
